Children's Parliament

The institutional mandate of SPEECH has always been to establish front-line demonstrable models. Among other such models, the Child Parliament has set an example of how best a model could do well to the children. In accordance with the fulfillment of the Directive Principles of tate Policy as laid down in the Indian Constitution, SPEECH had attempted its levels best in pursuit of contributing the broader objectives of the  73rd Amendment of Panchayati Raj and UN Declaration on Child Rights. In the villages surrounding Sivakasi, SPEECH had implemented Child Panchayat Program whilst the girl children were given adequate space and scope in Girl Children Panchayats surrounding the villages of Tiruchuli. In this process, children were exposed to the better understanding and in appreciation of informed decisions taken up collectively even at their early stages of development as future voters and decision-makers.
